Abstract: Sheath rot of rice caused by Acrocylindrium oryzae (revised as Sarocladium oryzae ) was observed in Bihar for the first time during kharif 1977 at ARI, Mithapur, in national screening nursery (NSN) and International Rice Yield Nursery (IRYN) trials.
