Abstract: Flood or drought periodically affects rice in Biharโ€”especially in the northern areas. Sometimes floods and droughts occur at the same time in different parts of the state. Farmers require rice varieties that are suitable for preflood and postflood conditions and for intermittent drought to enable a harvest on the available rainfall.
